Corn flower contributes little flavour but adds striking blue colour and visual appeal to floral and luxury blends. It’s mostly used as a garnish or accent in teas with chamomile, rose, or lavender.

Enhances tisanes:

  • Adds striking blue petals for visual appeal
  • Lends elegance to floral blends
  • Enhances luxury or gift teas aesthetically

Some Health Benefits:

  • Mild anti-inflammatory
  • Diuretic properties
  • Soothes irritated eyes (traditionally used topically)

General Brewing Guide (Tisanes):

2 - 3 tsp

400ml

4 - 8 min

Boiling

Adjust according to how much water you're using and your personal taste. Unlike True Tea, tisanes usually benefit from a longer steeping time (typically 4–8 minutes) to fully release their flavour and benefits. You can be generous with the amount of herbs used, but they’re generally brewed just once.

Cornflower:

Steep for 3–5 minutes. Mild in flavour but visually striking, cornflower is often added more for colour than taste. Use in floral blends or as a decorative touch in herbal teas.
