Adjust according to how much water you're using and your personal taste. Unlike True Tea, tisanes usually benefit from a longer steeping time (typically 4–8 minutes) to fully release their flavour and benefits. You can be generous with the amount of herbs used, but they’re generally brewed just once.

Hibiscus

Steep for 5–10 minutes, depending on how bold and tart you want the flavour. Longer steeping brings out more of its deep red colour and sharp tanginess. Great for iced tea, and it pairs well with sweeter herbs like liquorice root or lemongrass to balance the sourness.
