Adjust according to how much water you're using and your personal taste. Unlike True Tea, tisanes usually benefit from a longer steeping time (typically 4–8 minutes) to fully release their flavour and benefits. You can be generous with the amount of herbs used, but they’re generally brewed just once.
Liquorice Root
Steep for 5–7 minutes to draw out its natural sweetness and smooth, slightly earthy flavour. It’s sweet enough on its own, so no need to add sugar. Often blended with peppermint, ginger, or hibiscus. Consume in moderation if you have high blood pressure.
